I am an armywife and I live on a army post and while yes I have seen and heard several of the things portrayed on the show happen , its almost like what are they going to do to keep the show going. How much army stuff can there be to talk about before they start getting outrageous. Im a huge fan of this show but next weeks episode with the whole pam kissing the girl thing is like wow
totally unrealistic drivel. they should claim during every commercial or opening sequence "tonight, on a very special 'army wives'". because every episode is presented that way, like "... and one of them won't be coming back" or " she thought she had everything, until....". sappy crap that has been sold to everyone as "critically acclaimed". who said that, the "Yenta Club of America"?
Ok, so first, Army Wives is a SHOW, not real life. Watch it and see that there are plenty of army husbands and children. Army Wives is just the name. Second, there is no new Roland so check your facts. Third, this show is cheezy and full of cliche's but it is a reasonably good show considering, and it gives people some insight into what military spouses go through, with lots of embellishments. Yet to jump.
I love this show!!!! it really rocked on the 7/23 episode when Barney and Yolanda discovered that thier daughter was a drug mule for Aaron the butcher. bar none the best show on lifetime!!!
More insane drivel from the Hate Men Network.
It's just The Unit without the cool soldiering!
New Roland like a new Darren - he does not fit the same.
One of the best new shows on TV. If it's meant to JTS, it probably won't do so for a long time.
When Amanda Holden died--Army Wives jumped the shark for the first time :)
Okay, this show remains on the corny side for me... yet! I keep watching it. Perhaps all the "Lifetime cliches" are overshadowed by the cool characters/actors... either way, I like the show.
This is just a well-done soap opera set on an army base. And most of them are officers' wives and it doesn't often show the lives of the enlisted men's wives. And, of course, the army husband cheats on his wife. Like a previous poster said, cliche after cliche. The only reason why I have watched this show was I was stuck at a doctor's office for hours and a marathon was on.
oh god, this show is filled with so many lifetime network cliché's, it makes fox news look like a bunch of aging liberal hippie's. totally-gay!
Best.Show.On.Television.

And to Guest - you need to actually watch the show before you criticize it. Roland is an Army husband and all the women have children, so it is Army husbands and children in addition to wives.
It's not only army wives, here in san antonio army husbands ,army dads and army children await moms/daughters to return from combat...Lifetime ,the women who watch Army Wives and those on the show need to do some homework.
I don't think this show has nor will ever jump the shark!
