Beakman's World was always awesome. Even when Phoebe joined the cast, this show never stopped kicking ass. Chunky girls rule!
I have got to say that Josie was my FAVE Beak-girl. I hated when she left. I stopped watching. They started to show re-runs here in Texas and I only watch the ones with Josie. She was so funny to me, I loved all the different voices that she could do.
Sorry that should have been 'Co Host'.
One final thing, checking out scenes of this on youtube I notice Lester has tattoos on his arms.
I honestly believe it's the first time I've ever seen tattoos on a co-host of a grossout kiddie science show.
Damned if I can quite tell what they are though.

I loved this show, though I barely remember it. The most memorable event had to be the snot-tunnel. And that big slobby gross rat.
I don't think this show could be 'too gross.' It was what the kids (I) wanted. After all, what little kid hasn't wonder what snot was for, or how farts formed (I used to think it was a magical fairy who lived in my bunghole but Beakman set me straight), and who could forget the episode about cockroaches?
Unfortunately I didn't catch the full series, same problem as the rest of you, they started screwing with the time slot and I could never catch it anymore, so I can't say what I thought of the new hosts.... but I do have to say... Cute female Host + Grossout kids show = AWESOME!

This show never jumped, another 'making learning fun' show, (which seem to be 'dead' these days)But it did seem like they were trying too hard to be funny near the end of the series though, (Peticuarily The the added Fart jokes with Lestar).
No cause for the "bashing" of the latter beak girl. she is as talented as the others. and f'in cute..........
What a show!!!
What a show!!!
Eliza Schneider was definitely the best Beakgirl. Alanna was too over the top with her facial expressions and voice inflections, and Senta was just too cutesy to tolerate.
Eliza by a longshot, no doubt!

Alanna was so cute on this show .. my eyes were always glued on her .. I thought she was so talented too .. she did a great acting job as Madam Currie, and acted well most of the time .. she was adorable, and the show jumped when she left
Senta Moses was a class act on the show, and a very funny, talented, and lovely girl. This show never jumped...
was it me or was josie hilarious just standing there? she was so funny.
but josie, as comically talented as she was, wasn't the star of the show. the science was. so in that aspect, it never jumped.
but after josie left, there was just a bit too much to roll your eyes at.

I loved this show when I saw it overseas when I was little.
And let me tell you... I was so pleasantly surprised to turn on the TV a couple of saturdays ago and see it on FOX.
Its still on, and it still rules.

It seemed to Me that this show was trying WAY TOO HARD to make Science Cool. Every time it would start to get interesting, they would go off in some weird and unnecessary bit. They just didn't seem to stay focused on one thing for very long, and it became pretty frustrating to watch after a short while.
I stopped watching for a while, and when I came back my beloved Josie was gone AND the jokes became horribly disgusting. When Josie was around, Beakman could enter that snot tunnel and drip some snot on her and still be within the boundaries of humour, if not good taste. But later on, with Senta, a simple lesson about ice and first aid turned into a completely un-funny excuse to inflict pain on Lester. (I know it's not Senta's fault, but I'm being "specific" about just when the show jumped the shark.) I started watching Beakman because it was intelligent and didn't talk down to kids (I will never forget that electricity is not a "thing," but an "event"!); but I had to stop because it got really dumb and even less educational than Barney (if such a thing were possible).
This show never jumped. Beakman was a science teacher in Kansas City, with absolutely no background in acting or producing television shows. For him to create such a masterpiece is amazing. Yeah, so he had some toilet humor. All of his toilet humor is free from the sex, violence, and other terrible influences that seek to latch on to our children. Beakman was unconventional, and covered not only science, but history, geography, grammar.... "Great spirits will always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds."
