It's brilliant to say this show is "biased". Isn't it Jon Stewart that's always talking about how his show isn't really the news and that he's led into by a bunch of cussing cartoon 4th graders?

The people who act like this is a serious news show are the same people constantly trying to convince the public (and for the more delusional, themselves) that liberals are all unemployed stoned unpatriotic idiots that get news from a comedy channel. Guess what Joe, noone cares if it's the most liberal leaning show to grace the airwaves.. it can be the most biased show America's ever seen.. so what? It's on COMEDY CENTRAL, hence, it gets to do whatever it wants.

It's not like it's passing itself off as fair & balanced news.

And shows like this have a hard time jumping. There's always going to be some senator tapping his foot in an airport bathroom somewhere.
Please. Let's be real. The McCain/Palin ticket was a joke with or without Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert.
I agree with the previous poster. There has got to be something else to joke about besides McCain/Palin.

I also get annoyed when Jon Stewart argues with the conservative guests. It might be more in the spirit of the show if he just let them talk and made a few jokes.

I think The Colbert Report has surpassed the Daily Show.
It jumped when the show became one long McCain & Palin joke. It wouldn't be bad if the jokes were funny. But you can only beat a dead horse for so long. A few Obama jokes wouldn't hurt
To answer Billy Willy, Rush Limbaugh's downfall came after he made racial remarks regarding the media's treatment of Donovan McNabb (though it may have been a pertinent topic, the way Rush presented it was highly offensive to some), and when he was discovered as being a pill addict after he had stated in years past that drug offenders should be jailed as opposed to sent to treatment. Oh, and his right-wing rhetoric becoming increasingly nonsensical couldn't have helped.
What is sad is that some people think that this show is actually like a news program. It is just a lame comedian making a feeble attempt at being funny. He also works hard at kissing Obama's butt. If Obama wins, Jon is not going to try and shoot him down like he did to Bush.
Anybody else remember when it was like Weekend Update? Anybody else remember Headlines?
I guess once Obama wins, the daily show and all of its group are gonna go the way of Rush Limbaugh once Clinton left office. We in America like it when people make fun of the current administration. Remember how on top of the world Rush was during the 90s? He was a best selling author, had a TV show (!) and was on every radio station on the dial. Once Bush came into office, Rush was relegated to a few stations and later satellite radio. No one wants to hear some agree with the president. The Daily Show will suffer the same fate once Obama wins. As much as they'll want to mock him, they won't. They'll try but their hearts just won't be in it. TDS's only hope will be to reformat and get waaaaay past the political niche that it's carved out for itself.
Nations attempting the great democratic experiment generally get the governments they deserve. There's no doubt in my mind after reading posts like some of those below that we richly deserve the Bush Administration, and if McCain follows, well, that's what we get, too.

Jon Stewart is a gift, a singularity on the wasteland of the tube: an actor who can at his best appear to be genuine and honest, compassionate, concerned, and intelligent. It's no wonder the American voters out there are bored.
Horrible show. The only good part of it USED to be the guests and correspondents and whatnot. John Stewart's sense of humor is ridiculously lame. He isn't clever at all and just makes stupid faces to emphasize point made by other people. I don't see why people think he is so great.
As with the proof that he makes fun of Barack Obama and critics of John McCain, it tells you that he's just there for laughs! When he makes fun of the show constantly, it shows you that he's humble! Besides, he started making fun of Bush when he realized that this man is a moron!
To anyone that complains that his show is "boring" because it has lots of political material, then watch Jay Leno! This show is great just the way it is!!
Liberal? What do you expect when the current president is an idiot and happen to be a Conservative? If Obama wins and **** it up he will get the same treatment.
It has never been the same since the writers strike, dont know why, just not as funny anymore.
Definitely jumped when Stewart replaced Kilborn.
People who think this show is more biased than Fox or CNN are so mixed up you have to wonder if they even really know what the word biased means...
