season 1 was awesome
season 2 was the same level as 1
season 3 i enjoyed but i didnt like the fact that they ditched the season 1 and 2 characters
season 4 :i thought the fat guy was annoying. blame the bad writing. and who said humans can turn into digimon?
season 5 was when it jumped. it was like some 18 year old guy who is really stubborn. why is he so stubborn? i dont know. and they made agumon huge and they put red gloves on him and said it was a new digimon. and why are they working with this digimon police? who said that they can govern it? that digi police thing was bullshit

Point blank, Digimon Season 1 was great, if not the best of all the Digimon seasons. But though I question the English dubbing...

Season 1 appealed to viewers because of the character misfits and their growth WHILE trying to save a world or two (both theirs and the digital world). I loveeee this season so much.

Season 2 tried (but somewhat failed) to carry on that plot with an introduction of new characters with a few scenes that showed the Original Digidestined. I think it was a bit off, especially at the end. They should've never ended with them growing up and getting married. It'll just end the franchise.

Season 3 bombed because of the maturity level. Digimon was presented as a kid show (at first anyways) but the plot seems to... adult-rated with secrets of the governments and whatnot. And some of the characters seems unappealing, like Rika and her bitchy attitude and Takato and his lameness. I liked Henry and Terriermon, though I think they only continued with Terriermon because of the movie.

Season 4 bombed because hell, the kids BECAME the Digimon. The only thing decent was Zoe's digivolution to Zephyrmon.

If it were up to me, I would have made the kids from Season 1 stuck in the Digiworld, just to make a continuous AND POSSIBLY SUCCESSFUL plot line for further seasons. And I've heard of Season 5 and youtubed some of it... they killed off Agumon's originality. Now, he looks like an anorexic velociraptor with ribbons on his hands.

So technically, it jumped when Season 3 came out. They should've just stuck to Kids and Digimon who completed each other rather than a tamer having the upmost control on the poor creature.

P.S. The English dub of the Digimon Movie (which is actually 3 movies) was horrible, though the music was epic.

Look I'mm getting tired people bashing Frotier,most have never seen all the episodes of the season. We all agree that Digimon is better than Pokemon right? Than why would people want it to be like Pokemon? You have to learn to ajust,it's better that it changes every season.If you want a show that's got the same plot and the same characters then GO WATCH POKEMON,THIS IS DIGIMON JACK. Frontier is the least like Pokemon,and they don't have to hide behind there partners all the time.

It gives me that danger factor Takuya almost died a couple times. I admit that it had a few flaws wit the stus and stuff, but they were planning on having JP and others fusin evolve,just look on Amswers.com.

Frontier being like Adventures is a great thing for fanfiction you can have Takuya be Tai's son or the twins be Ken kid's.

Whoever said that Ryo just showed up in Tamers for no reason is either a noob to the Digi-fandom or just don't know cause Ryo is a mian character cause his role in the manga if you weren't paying attention to that nightmare episode in 02 then you didn't see Ken push ryo out of the way from the dark spore Mullieumon had thrown,that's from the manga that's how Ken got the dark spore in the first place.

I end my rant with,WHO THE HECK MADE THE 02 ENDING?! I think we all agree that the epilouge of 02 was rushed and just all over the place(Sorato?,Kenlei and their tribe I mean come on!)

What a fail statement. So you don't want the series to mature and change, you want it to stay completely the same?

Series 3 was the BEST season as it had the best characters and best plot. Basically, what you have admitted in this post is "I'm too stupid to keep up with more complex plot lines". They're catering to an ageing audience, so quit whining.

I loved the original two seasons, and I was SOOOO excited for season 3 to start. Then it did, and I watched.....and waited....and continued to not understand. Season 3 failed because it was too DIFFERENT. We fell in love with Digimon when they had their crests and had to go to the Digital World. When you combine them and add cards.....it just doesn't work. They tried to salvage it in season four, by going back to the original format, but by then it was too late. The damage was done, and most of the loyal viewers were lost. The ones they DIDN'T lose continued to like the way season 3 went, and then disliked when it went back in season four....So all around, it just didn't work.

i think that that digimon is AWSOME while pokemon is STUPID, DUMB, AND LAME!!! i also love yugio but gx is also LAME!!!

The only reason the pokemon Show is doing better than the digimon one in the US is beacause
Pokemon is on standard television (cartoon network)
While Digimon is on Extended (jetix toon disney)

And season 3 in the US lost most of It's veiwers because the story wehn over many kids' heads.

I still remember back when I was in Middle school. I still remember I conversation between me and another student

Me - "Did you see digimon season 3 on Saturday?"
"No, I stopped watching It because It became too technical... and confusing so i watched pokemon instead. The story is easier to keep up with"

SO yeah, if that conversation doesn't say much I don't know what will.
In other words Digimon has too much plot for younger kids to understand that's one of the main reasons why many kids turn to pokemon.

i have to correct myself on a few thing season 3 was better tan season 4 overall the only reason why i said that stuff about sesaon 3 b/c i liked the idea of the devas being based on th chinese zodiac but i haed how they rilly worked for the good guys. the only ting i didn't didn't like about season was the wack tamers(the ones beside Takato, Henry, Rika, & Rio).

I liked this show a lil better than pokemon. pokemon doesn't have character development like digimon. pokemon just has a character of a day that Ash & Co. helps out. But poekmon was better than season 3. Season had things that were happening for no reason like the Devas it turned out they were working for the good guys(The Sovereign). But I liked season 1 because it had a good story they did a good job on character development. I think they did a great job following up by making some new characters and further developing the old charcters. Season is when they jumped the shark. I didn't mind the digi-modify but i didn't like when the story that much i also didn't the characeters very much either. I hated the fact the digimon absorbed each others data but then later it's like they forgot all about doing that. The tamers besides the original and Rio were useless character they wee there for no reason. Season 4 was better than season 3 but not as good as the first two seasons but it got a little corney when they beat churbimon and the royal nights came because it became repetitive because they would fight them every episode and lose.

Yes, an opinion is an opinion, but you seem to forget it's also just an opinion to think that this show is any good. There's no need to be rude to people who happen to dislike or hate this show.
