The only good natured show on Fox on sunday night. The rest are either custic- fammly guy, brain dead- simpsons, or both- American Dud.
When Cotton Hill (Hank's dad) died. He was one of the best and the show wont be the same without him.
the only way way i could laugh at bevis & butthead is if i was HEAVILY medicated hours before i watched it.

that shows only saving grace was the videos theyd watch (crowbar, entombed, shudder to think, among many others)

anyways king of the hill was a consistently good show, which is more than i can say for the rest of fox's sunday night lineup (family guy was funny for 5 or 6 seasons, its garbage now. american dad hasent been funny since midway through the 1st season)

heres to 13 years of laughs. KOTH, you will be missed.
Bob is an idiot.
This was a good show for about five seasons. Its cancellation, like many other shows, is years later than it should be. In this case, 7. Now if we can just get rid of The Simpsons and Family Guy...
The show jumped the moment Cotton Hill died (and in just about the worst way, too). Peggy is among the most annoying characters in the history of animation. Cotton always managed to knock her ass down a few pegs. Without Cotton, who will be there to knock Peggy down?

The ideal KOTH would have been a show where Peggy dies before the beginning of the series and Cotton (not married to Didi and slightly less off his rocker) moves in with Hank and Bobby because he can no longer take care of himself. Which one would be the king? Probably Cotton.

No Luanne (and no Lucky!). After all, no Peggy.

No Bill. What service does he provide anyways? The Bill-centric episodes are usually rather awkward.

A lot more of Topsy and Irwin Linker. They were never developed as much as I would have liked them to be.

A whole lot more of Buck Strickland. He'd get close with Cotton and they'd have some pretty unreal capers.

A show like that could have lasted fifty seasons!
I heard about the news of KOTH's cancellation and am disappointed about it but at the same time there's a sense of relief. To me, it felt like the show never recovered from its constant preemptions at 7:30 during football season before the move back to 8:30.
King of the Hill is probably going to be cancelled, I just read it in the news. I'm a huge Simpsons fan, and I respected this show because it is realistic (to a point). Now that this is gone and Satan McFarlane has The Cleveland Show (an official spin- off of the unfunniest show on TV, family Guy; as if American Dad wasn't enough!), Sunday night is almost completely his. The Simpsons is our last hope against devil named Seth. I hope people wake up and see what IDIOTS they have been for watching any of those shows. Long live the King of the Hill!
anymore, the episodes always boil down to any of the following used up plot points;

Peggy's limited knowledge VS her percieved view of herself as a genius.

Dale is Paranoid.

Bill is depressed.

Hank is extremely uptight.

Bobby is really fruity, causes Hank stress.

Boomhauer is promiscuous.

Kahn is asian.

It all gets really boring after several seasons of watching Peggy cause problem after problem with her stupidity, Bill's hyper depression, etc.
Although it's just a cartoon, the characters grit on my nerves; especially Peggy and Dale. If I were married to a woman like Peggy, I'd go for a divorce, especially when she confessed to having sex with a guy just to prove he's gay. It fluctuates between boring and plain disgusting.
When Nancy Gribble broke up with John Redcorn. I thought they would be a nice couple.
In addition to re-writing some original story line concepts (Re; Racheal comments below), they also seem to ignore some factors in the show.

For instance, "has anything ever been mentioned about Didi and Good Hank?

Side comment:, Lucky basically ensures that Luanne has no chance to escape being trailer trash
last sunday king of the hill wuz great just like before.i like it cuz is more realistick then other shows in the sence of good plots and stories.
In regards to Buckley's angel and Luanne: to be fair, he never said she was meant to go to college. All he said was, "you are meant for something else." For all we know, that something else may be having Lucky's child and becoming the mother Luanne herself never had.

Anyway, Lucky doesn't really bother me as much as the complete re-writing of the back story does. Peggy's mother, Luanne's father, the Hills being related to ZZ Top...all these things completely clash with what we've been told before. I'll wait and see if this next season will be any good before I throw in the towel, though.
Koth is really a one of the kind show, jokes aren't as stupid as Beavis and Butthead which i've personally always hated. All the characters are funny in their own way : Hank getting uncomfortable, Peggy thinking she's a genius, Luanne being stupid and Bobby's weird hobbies, and they appear way more real and close to actual life than in other shows like the Simpsons. I guess that's what i like the most about it. But Yup definately one of the best American shows ever, I hope they still produce new episodes in 20 years ! I've come to realize i'm kinda attached to these characters
