I WATCH THE SHOW ALL THE TIME MOESHA IT MY FAVORITE TV SHOW BRANDY NORWOOD IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGER AND ACTRESS I STILL A FAN OF BRANDY AND MOESHA THE SHOW HAD A LOT OF SPIL GEUST STAR LIL KIM AND BOW WOW AND ALL SO USHER AND MY TWO HOMIE MURH LEE OF ST.LOUNTICS NELLY RAP GROUP W/ JAZZ PHA AND MINE MORE SISQO OF DRU HILL I THINK THE SHOW WAS THE BEST ON TV THEY STILL SHOW THE EPISOD FROM PAST AND PRESENT AND NOW FUTUR I LUV THE SHOW 1#
I disagree completely with the consensus. Everyone on here bitches about how Moesha was -SO- disrespectful to her parents and how unrealistic that is. I SERIOUSLY doubt all you out there worshipped your parents like you believe Moesha should have in order for it to be "realistic." Wow, teenagers talking back to their parents. You NEVER see that! Psh. You people are living in the '40s. Besides, it ain't like she was that disrespectful to them. If you think she's that bad, you really need to get out more. Her parents were way more strict on her than she was bad to them. Also, I think the show didn't even get good until the time most here believe the show went downhill. It was corny and boring for the most part, then season 4 rolls around and things start getting good! One of the few shows that actually got better with time. Most turn sour as they go on. It's too bad the show never got closure, even with cameos on The Parkers.
I liked all the characters in moesha dorian wasn't needed but it didn't affect the show for me I was so mad when it just went off the air like that I felt cheated
I'll tell you some bull I saw on Moesha. They were doing a parody of The Cosby Show. I think it was supposed to be a dream sequence that lasted the entire episode or something. Anyway, long story short - it was painfully unfunny.
EVEN I think I'm a loser.
I liked the show Moesha a lot when it was on. I miss shows like that now, with all the profanity and vulgarity used in entertainment today. I think that the show had a definite element of reality to it. Brandy wasn't afraid to play a character that DID'NT always do what was right and was not always the most likeable person. But isn't that like real life??? Everyone makes mistakes and acts like a jerk sometimes. Like when many of the people who posted before me said that they would have been so thankful for getting a Saturn or any car and would have reacted PERFECTLY. That, in my opinion, is not ALWAYS the case. For instance, if someone was financially struggling they may act accordingly but others who may have some money (but not rich) might not act as perfect as they think they would. Many people have had times when they were ungrateful for things that they should have been grateful for,and that doesn't make them a terrible person but it may mean they need to mature a little more or change their attitude. Its funny how people can be so critical of others, when they have done some of the same things. I think it is really awesome that Brandy and the cast portrayed teen (and a lot of times adult) issues with out always making an IMMEDIATE happy ending. Its a shame that so many don't seem to appreciate it...
i loved moesha, there were real situations and real consequences. i didn like the whole dorian scenario, but things like that happen all the time. i wish there would have been a clear ending.
DAY ONE! The dumbest show in the history of TV. This show set back the evolution of man 1000 years. The plague was funnier! Its a good thing this girl could sing. Peace, im otta here!
i use to watch moesha religiously, i liked the show but i liked Brandy as a singer and that was what made me watch it. people must remember to separate the character from the actor.

the purpose of the show was to going in to the life of a teenager who had faults and made mistakes like other teenagers, moesha was meant to be a snob, but she always realized in the end that she was wrong.

also, i hated it when the show went in an entirely different direction, when frank suddenly had another son and was unfaithful to his former wife. frank's character was not in the beginning like that. in many ways i think brandy was tired of doing the show but she pushed on....but wrote some terrible story lines so that it would get canceled.

either way i love brandy, and all the cast members. it was a good show, the problem is people look up to the cosby show as being representative of black people, but the ebonic names and the vernacular along with different characters accurately represented the diversity of people, in regards to not race but individuality.
What i meant to say is you saw her true colors jealousy and pettines. And you ever notice if Moesha didn't get her way she became a pain in the ass to everybody. One more thing did you notice in the first season she always overacted and laugh at things that were never funny.
Everybody must have forgoten one of Moesha most annoying habits she was to damn nosey case in point:1.Hakeem's cousin Omar (who was gay) that was just wrong the way she made feel guilty about coming out the closet by reading a **** and then he tells Hakeem amd then you never heard about him again.2.Her roommate that was overweight the way she sets her up on a pity date to later later discovers the guy actually liked her for who she was and Moesha was shocked that a handsome guy would liked a overweight girl. And she was also like that way with Kim remember when Kim became a cheerleader and you saw we saw her colors jealousy pettiness all because she wasn't picked for something for the first time in her life and was it me or did she do the most self absorbed cheers that you have ever heared And finaly how did Moesha become validictorian if you remember that homeless kid was the validictorian first. I guess they thought no one would notice that.
P.S. I almost forgot to add this: there was no reason WHATSOEVER to put Hakeem and Moesha together as a couple. That was painful to watch and the actors looked like they were forcing their scenes to look believable.

And furthermore, that twist where Hakeem and Niecey kissed was foolishness and seemed forced too.
It was annoying that the show ended right in the middle of a cliffhanger. But way before that, I didn't like the fact that Moesha tended to be extremely disrespectful CONSTANTLY to her father. Sure, he was no walk-in-the-park but as a parent, he deserved some level of respect.

She was too cantankerous as a child. She needed to be one of the kids on the Bernie Mac Show; he'd have got that attitude in check! Lol.

Oh yeah, and also, I'll be honest: I didn't care for Moesha but I did like most of the other cast. That's the case of a lot of sitcoms (black and white) where the main character isn't all that entertaining to me but I like the rest of the cast.
