Never, instead it died the same ignoble death that other grand experiments in quality television have. It was the best thing on tv that year and I only wish PBS or someone would bring it back. Long live the Chronicles!!

I believe it was produced, directed, and written by David Lynch and titled, American Chronicles. A 10 episode, documentary style, show about different aspects of life in America - mid 80's.
